traveling to India... argh!

My father has decided to take all three of his kids, their partners and his two grandchildren (my two) to India next January. He's been going every year for the past 3 years but we haven't been to India since I was 11.
I'm reallllllly excited buuuuuuuut freaking out about the logistics already. We don't vax and aren't planning on it but I'm not sure if that's a good idea with what we'd be exposed to in Calcutta. What would you do? Selectively vaccinate? Cross your fingers?
I don't know what to do!

i could be way off here... but i think the only concern might be polio? if it were me, i'd figure out what the risk was and selectively vax as needed. we will have to figure this out too since we want to take m to india to visit my family there.

i lived in india for a semester back in 1999-2000. loved it!

last june, we went to indonesia and did not vax. we lived in a small village for two months and i worked at a birth center. we were still breastfeeding then, had access to clean water and had healthcare when we needed it.
