ALACE labor and DONA pp doula?

Last year, I did ALACE for my labor assistant cert. I loved the training.

Next month, I plan to do the DONA post partum doula training.

I know these organizations are rather different. Has anyone else followed this path? Had good experiences?

I certified with a different organization for birth work but did my pp training with DONA. I liked the training with Ann it was great. Both trainings are different and their code of ethics if differnt but that doesn't affect really anyhing for me because I am in 2 different roles. So if you certify with DONA for pp work you would just follow their scope of practice and the same for ALACE and birth work.

doula cert programs

I did my doula training through ALACE.. still working towards my cert.

Currently doing CAPPA's long distance PP training and ALACE's CBE program at the same time..!!

Like anything.. you take what you want from trainings... and alter teachings to your own ethics.. good luck!

I'm working on my CBE from CAPPA and will do labor through ALACE. Postpartum I am certifying through a small, local group (for whatever that is worth).

I'm turning into a workshop and certification junkie. I am a CBE cerrtified by AAHCC- need to finish my final exam for CLE (CAPPA)- and am planning on achieving birth doula certification through ALACE.
