41 week check...

Thread Starter
Went in for a 41 week NST and amniotic fluid check, and baby looks great. No reason to induce (yay!), and I got a great glimpse of baby sucking his/her thumb voraciously. Baby's spine is on my right side, so although his/her head is low, I've got to do some work on my hands and knees to get the spine in the front. Spinningbabies, here I come!

I'm feeling a lot more peaceful and patient today - more zen and ready to give baby the space he/she needs to finish gestating in peace.

Isn't it so cute to see the baby sucking his/her thumb in the womb? I can't believe they act on the inside the way they do on the outside in some ways.

I am a little confused about positioning. Every time I got to the midwives baby is lying on my right side with little feet up in my left ribs. They say, "Good position". So it's not? Confused. TIA

Emese'sMom I think that the chance is greater the baby will become posterier if they are laying on the right side. More likely to spin so their spine is against your spine which is a harder way to come out (ouch back labor!). Doesn't mean it will happen of course..it's just a greater chance on the right side...
