BIRTH-RELATED:
--Pick up birth pool
--Buy empty capsules for placenta--DONE
--Write list for DH, in the event of a hospital transfer, telling him what to refuse, what to accept and what to do.--DONE
--Buy Gatorade and ginger beer--DONE (also lemonade Popsicles, 'cause the midwife said they were good to suck on during labour)

BABY-RELATED:
--Sew liners for baskets to hold clothes
--Work out some kind of bin system for dirty nappies/clothes
--Sew curtain for baby's wardrobe--DONE!
--Sew thingy to hang on wall to hold nappy pins, nappy liners, creams etc

HOUSE-RELATED:
--Paint bathroom
--Paint kitchen/dining room
--Finish painting office
--Sand down windowsills in living room
--Paint windowsills in living room

down to the wire now

tonight and tomorrows to-do list

1. sew curtains shorter for bedroom.
2. wrap gifts for kids
3. pack bag
4. paint hallway(small hallway, should be easy and keep my mind preoccupied!
5. pick up meat CSA tomorrow am.
6. last minute cleaning/cooking/organizing for homecoming
7. update blog with pictures of recent crafting.
8. try to wear myself out so I can get a good few hours sleep before going to hospital.

thanks though I gotta say looking at your list kept me inspired as well. At least I know I am not the only one with such a long list!

Okay, the living room windowsills are sanded. Ow. My shoulder hurts. Having a short chocolate chip cookie break, then I've gotta start wielding the masking tape and sugar soap. Fun.

Well, the painting didn't get done yesterday, so this afternoon it is. Luckily MIL is here to help. We went out with the kids to a park and picked up our meat CSA earlier, and I went by the japanese book store and aquired a new crafting book, for Easter. Tons of cute little animals and creatures I want to crochet. So now I have to go to the craft store to get thread and a tiny crochet hook Gotta have a hospital project! Crocheting tiny people eggs are SOOOOOOOOO important.

WHY o WHY do I allow myself to be a victim of cute japanese crafting?

OMG! I am so not with it compared to you mamas! Let's see, so far I have:
Washed all the newborn pre-folds and covers. Still need to get more CD's for the LO.

Bought a new car seat for LO

Did the "registry thing" for family who's been badgering me about a baby shower. Funny how no one in the family is purchasing the CDs from my Babyworks registry. Dh's grandma bought me a TON of disposables, after I sent out a mass e-mail that we do not use them, and directed them to the online registry for CDs:.

Bought a few newborn onesies and footed jammies at Goodwill.

Finished the blanket I've been working on since November! Inspired by an artisan's blanket I admired at a festival last Fall, I've been purchasing cashmere and silk clothing items at resale/thrift stores and cutting out blocks from them to make LO a blanket. ONe side is all cashmere bordered w/ silk, and the other side silk bordered w/ cashmere.This is my first "real" sewing project, so it's FAR from perfect, or even pretty. Dh says he'd be real "stoked" to have such a lovey for himself, though.

As for food, I went to BJ's the other day and bought small fortune's worth of pasta, frozen veggies, salmon steaks, shrimp, couscous, rice pilaf, chix broth etc so DH can easily whip up dinner without my help.

We finally did the test run for the birth pool yesterday. All went well.

We still need to get those things to do footprints. And we are planning our 2nd UC, but packing a bag in case of transfer sounds like a good idea. Hmmm, what else am I leaving out?

I'm getting there!

- Wash remaining baby clothes - done
- Find and buy detergent for dipes - done
- Wash, stuff, and store dipes - done
- Install car seat
- Do belly cast - done
- Interview peds, and pick one - done
- Buy snacks for labor, and food for attendants - done
- Learn to use video camera - done
- Pick more labor music, and load on iPod - working on it
- Buy gifts for midwife and doula
- Work on naming ceremony
- Move to new house and set up nursery there - done
- Set up co-sleeper - done
- Buy fishie pool - done
- Inflate pool - done
- Buy hose and buckets - done
- Fill freezer - working on it

I am showered and ready to go
bags are packed
kids presents have been bought(really cute IKEA dress up masks!)
crafting items for hospital have been bought and packed.
kids have been briefed
last cup of allowed water has been drank.


ok, send a prayer or two my way ladies. Off to try to make myself tired and sleep a few hours before the big event.

Okay, time to re-jig the list again.

BIRTH-RELATED:
--Pick up birth pool

BABY-RELATED:
--Work out some kind of bin system for dirty nappies/clothes
--Sew thingy to hang on wall to hold nappy pins, nappy liners, creams etc
--Sew ruffle for baby's window

HOUSE-RELATED:
--Finish painting bathroom
--Paint kitchen/dining room
--Finish painting office
--Scrape paint off living room floor, clean up, and generally get it ready for the birth pool to be put in

OTHER:
--Henna hair (there's no way I'm gonna have time after the baby's born, and I don't want inch-long roots)

1.Figure out how to install the car seat and do it already!
2.Make a list of all things to grab for hospital (bags are packed but need to remember boppy, etc)
3.Call the VA about a stupid dr bill from 2 years ago that needs to be taken care of, since I doubt I'll have the time/patience later
4.Make sure all finances are in place/autopay set up on bills due around mid-month
