DH found this eco-friendly laundry detergent at priceclub and we've been using it forever (as it's a huge bottle!) well, about half way through, I realized that many of my cloth napkins and baby bibs had tiny black spots on them. I didn't think much of them until they started getting on the baby's clothes too! I 'thought' they were mold, but don't like to use bleach, so I just ignored it. By the end of the bottle, everything had tons of tiny black spots AND my diapers were NOT rinsing clean. Then I reread the bottle: it had a soy-based fabric softener in it!!! Crap! So I've switch to Ecover (great stuff) for the diapers and ended up bleaching, or at least trying to bleach out the napkins. But some stuff still has the black spots AND I can see where the old ones were, but maybe they were just bleached out and really still there? How can you get mold out of your clothes?!?!? I didn't know this could happen. I have a sanitary cycle, but it doesn't take care of it. I should have known something was up when I found I didn't need a dryer sheet anymore! I just never used fabric softener before so I didn't know what was up. Just thought it was some sort of magical laundry detergent!
