It's very real. They have workshops and classes around the country and a few books.

I was told about this system by a family member, and looked into it just to see what it was about...because hey, Love and Logic are both positive things! I was not impressed, personally.

I didn't like the book when I read it, and this just reaffirms it. Yuck.
