I've been hoarding some deep avacado green and harvest gold wool yarn I got from ebay. Looks like I'll be overdyeing the gold to get a nice pumpkin color

Too cute!! Too bad I am limiting myself to Xmas hats right now. I need to take our latest addition's Christmas pics in the hospital (will be born 12/10 via scheduled c-section) in order to get the cards out with everyone on them, so the girls will be wearing hats that look like Christmas trees.....figured, limited backdrops inthe hospital neonatal nursery, so.................

Hey Leslie, ya know fi you sub the colors, the pumpkin hat really can be anything I think it would be really cute in a pale blue with some snowflakes knit in fair isle along the side, for a nice holiday theme

Or, couldn't you subsitute colors and make them like the glass ornaments? Instead of the green on top do a grey or silver, or isn't there some metalic yarn that would make it look like a hanger?

So many cute ideas! My ds(5.5)doesn't want a pumpkin hat, he wants an acorn hat! :LOL So, I'll make an acorn for him and then a pumpkin for dd and the coming baby.
