what does it mean when you have cervical pain while having sex? It is just sort of sore when things bump. Does that mean anything? it is not normal and it's not liek i have switched partners this is the same guy i've had fpr years. i do remeber it happening before but i can't remember if it was near a period or anything. It has been 2 years 9 months since i have had aunt flo.

It could be that your body is not yet "excited" enough, your cervix moves up as your body becomes ready for intercourse as I understand it. The pain is from hitting the cervix which didn't used to happen, right?

right. hmm. i know their are definelty times when i was less excited. so it has nothing to do with ovulation and such? I thught maybe. I am just starting to learn all that, i am horribly stupid when it comes to my own body. sadly.

this only applies if you aren't on hormonal birth control - When you're fertile, your cervix moves up high, when you are in the infertile phase of your cycle, it's lower, and bumping it CAN hurt. I wouldn't be worried about it, especially if it's toward the beginning or end of your cycle if you aren't on hormonal birth control. if you've got a feeling that something else might be going on, or if you're having more than just bumped cervix pain, I'd give your HCP/dr/mw a call

Since figuring out what that bump was () I've found that keeping DH in front of it and not withdrawing past it makes things MUCH much more enjoyable if it's being sensitive.

Yes, it can have to do with your fertility cycles also, just as PP explained.
No need to feel bad about learning about your body. Everyone here is on a learning journey
Have you read Taking Control of Your Fertility?

I promise you will feel very educated after you read that book! I bet your library and local LLL have it too.
