How are diapers going?

How is everyone doing diaper-wise? We have a couple of newborn FB, some Bummis and Bumkins covers, some wool I knit, and some Kissaluv 0's. The kissaluvs fit funny (why all the buttons???), the Bummis don't work at all. The Bumkins semi-work, my wool doesn't have a high enough rise, and the FBs are almost too small and leak.

So what does everyone have that is actually working?

I love kissaluvs 1's, but her butt is too small yet. I need to find a minute to take pics of these to sell to buy different dipes...

I personally use Bum Genius (www.cottonbabies.com) and love them. A friend just showed me her Bum-Ware's and they look wonderful (www.bum-ware.com). You can go to www.diaperpin.com to check out a bunch of reviews on cd's and you can sell or trade your diapers on www.diaperswappers.com
Good luck!

this is the first time i've used anything but pfs on a newborn, and i really thought i loved pfs, they couldn't be beat for reliability, etc.

this time i'm using some very well-worn MEOS that a friend bought second-hand, used with her 2 dds and passed along to me...

OMG, i can't believe how much i love having fitteds for a newborn!! Granted, the meos are a bit bulky (it'd be fun if i could afford to invest in sized fitteds) but NO LEAKS!!!!!

how cool is that?? I'm using proraps covers over them, which don't fit over them that great, but she's not a huge wetter yet, so there's not been any wicking. I have a couple wool soakers I crocheted, but they are already getting too snug, so grandma has been recruited to make some larger ones.

ive been using a mixture of fitteds/covers but mainly sposies right now simplicity!

I'm using fitteds (kl0s, snappi contours, 1 sb one size, and various wahm ones), covers (thirsties and bummis), and AIOs (kushies nb and mommy's touch one size). I have a pair of shorties a friend on a ddc I joined when I was pregnant with dd1. I love fitteds/covers for at home and the AIOs for going out. I'm debating as to whether our next step will be to invest in mostly snappi diapers or sb one size. The sb ones are more expensive, but may last longer.

I'm using mostly BG's and prefolds on dd2, and fb, prefolds and a new fitted i found called Bamboozle on dd1. The bamboozle size i bought can fit from 10lbs up, so as soon as avye is big enough I will switch it up so that both use the BG and bamboozle.
Oh and I also admit I use sposies when I'm too lazy.

We have some NB diapers but the covers are size small and are too big. We have been given TONS of sposies and for now we are using them. Also the toilet shower we have to rinse off poop is not installed yet. Once that get installed I am going to break out the CD's.

Right now just trying to deal with gettting BF established has been exhausting-plus adjusting to life with a newborn....

We are using cloth full time during the day and sposies during the night because I need a quick change so he doesn't wake the whole entire house.

We are using a mixture of things mostly PF w/ prowraps, litewraps, and bummies covers. And then a few fitteds KL0s and mutt nb. I love my small FB and the best of all are my haute pocket one sizes. They truly fit my nb and my toddler well.

Kitty, you love KL1s but not 0s? I've not heard good things about the 1s. I LOVE my KL0s and wish I had more than a dozen. I supplement with Princess and Pea fitteds that a friend gave me and some prefolds, which I am *trying* to like. And I love my Thirsties covers! I have some Baby Beehinds bamboo OS that I haven't tried yet - they look huge at this point. Not sure what the next step will be, but I hope to find a OS fitted that works, for simplicity's sake.

I adore my KL0's - they're a great fit and hold in everything. I love fitteds - I have a dozen KL0's, 6 XS Sandies, a Mutt , a few XS and S Patchwork Pixies and a couple NB Clothmos (my very favorite diaper EVAH). The KLs and Clothmos are the first ones I reach for.

I love the 1's. With my 3yo, I used them from her being 2mos-2.5 years and never needed another dipe. I didn't have that many, and mostly used prefolds when they were in the wash, but I love them!

The 0's just aren't working well, though. They seem to leak out the side and gap in the front so far. That may change, but they just don't fit the baby right.

I need to knit some more wool when I have even a minute. Because my covers all suck, really. I love wool. I wish I had some wool covers like Stacinator or something, though. Is anyone using anything like that? How's it going with them? I need to sell what I have b/c I'm broke, and buy something that will work!

I hate OS dipes. Tried them with dd#2 and they just never fit right and made it look like I had strapped a pillow to her butt.

Currently only about half of his newborn stash actually fits and only recently starting fitting at that. So we're mostly using preemie prefolds (which he soaks through) and NB Proraps. The covers contain the mess pretty well but end up needing to be washed themselves pretty frequently. Unfortunately I think the preemie PFs are too thin to snappi so I've just been trifolding and laying them in the covers. It works well enough for now but I look forward to using the thicker infant PFs.

We had to stop using the KL0's that we had left over from Elliot's babyhood because Rhys pees right through them. They're always sopping wet and leaky. The preemie prefolds are saving our rear, even if we do have to double them up.

I love the Bummis cover we have... they just work so well, even on my skinny chicken-legged guy. My homemade covers are suffering from crappy fraying velcro that has to be replaced already, and I'm seriously contemplating just ordering some more bummis rather than fixing them because I don't know where to get velcro that isn't crap.

FWIW, I used snappis with my preemie pfs and they worked fine! But IKWYM about them not being very absorbent...that's why I had the flannel strips added to mine--adds two more layers of absorbency to the middle, and it's pretty darn cute!

(ds2 at 5 weeks--and 11lbs--in a snappi'd preemie pf)

Do you use cloth wipes? before I had my preemie pfs embellished, I'd trifold a nice thick cloth wipe (2-layer flannel/terry) to use as a doubler. A baby washcloth would work also.

I'm a prefold and cover lover. I LOVE my thirsties covers I want a dozen more! I'm loving our KS0 fitteds, I love the infant prefolds, they are perfect sized. The preemies are too small, so the get use as doublers and burp rags. I have BG 2.0 pockets but I think his hiney is a bit too small still. I like my bsww too but not my favs. I also love my WAHM covers but they only last one change before getting wet and smell like pee.

using pf's and covers here I HATE PRORAPS, but love my gads, thirsties and bummies whisper wraps, still use sposies at night and when going places

I forgot that part! I use sposies at night and when going out for a long period of time. He is a super soaker and I don't have any small wool. I didn't want to spend $$ for him to grow out of it in a month. I learned that lesson the first time!
99% of the time we use newborn pf's and bsww covers. we also have 2 kl0's that are ok, but he's almost too big for them already. we also have a small fb that i like but it is way too big. same with a small bg 1.0.
he is now regularly soaking through the pf's and fitteds so i bought 3 used hemparoo pf's off diaperswappers - they arrived today and i am so anxious to see if hemp is really all everyone makes it out to be!
i'd also like to try cricketts - if anyone has any they'd like to sell cheap (we are really in a cash crisis, which is why i haven't gotten any yet), let me know

We have pf's, KL0's, cricket something or others, and then prowrap, bsww and jamtots covers. I have wool but I don't know how to use them. :

I'm using fitteds and wool and loving it! Especially the longies BJ made for me. They are the BEST longies EVER. Seriously. So cute and so cuddly and fit perfectly. My grandmother is obsessed with sposies and every time I have a baby she begs me to use them. When Danny was born, she sent me $100 a month with a note "for disposable diapers" This time, she had diapers sent directly to my house. I'm not kidding. I have 5 jumbo packages of seventh generation sposies in my bedroom right now. And cloth on my baby's bum. :
