I loved the daily threads and I don't see why they need to stop with our babies here.
So how's everything going? Hows mama doing? Hows baby doing? Hows life in general? Nursing? Sleeping? Pictures!?!?!

I'll start. *warning: vent*

Life is a bit rough right now. After my somewhat traumatic birth I developed what we thought was infection in my incision. It turned out to be an allergy to medical tape. So I had a 10x6 inch red, blistered, and gross spot on my belly. With 2 days of that it started spreading and well we aren't 100% sure what the new rash is... either Pupps or another weird allergy to possbily my pain meds. SO yeah within a 4 days of my c/s I wasn't allowed to take anymore pain meds.

Needless to say I would rather have poison ivy and chicken at the same time than whatever I have now. I think I'm going to scratch my skin off. Even my lips are swollen and awful looking.

In other news Elliot is doing great. We took him into the dr on Wed for his 1 weeks visit and he had gained his birth weight back plus 1/2 a lb! He's already 11 pounds at a week! He's grown out of some of the 0-3 clothes and some of his smaller dipes. His big sister is still in love w/ him and is doing really well. I've lost 28 pounds and can sleep on my belly again! My nipples are starting to feel better too. DH left town and I'm staying w/ my mom because I'm not quite ready to have an over night alone yet.

I am 3 weeks postpartum and FINALLY feeling 100% normal! I visited my midwives today and Fletcher is weighing in at 10lbs 8oz...(up 3 lbs since birth!) Nursing is going really well. I have been working on a freezer stash because I have so much extra milk. Violet is somewhat adjusting to having a younger sibling. She loves him, but still has her moments of really craving attention/jealousy. Other than that everything is

Yikes, Erin!!

I am down 20lbs. from right before I had Ari. Dealing with the enormous hospital bills at the moment and some colic/dairy allergy issues is killing me. Luckily, I have a cat who works as a good mommy body-double, so I can eat if I lay baby on him (he's freaking ginormous). He loves it. He's my baby bodyguard and purrs and stretches out to have baby thrown on him. Of course, I'm sitting right there, but who needs a bouncy seat when you have a self-vibrating and warming rug?

In other, TMI news... I can't take my arnica right now b/c of it's lactose base. I hurt everywhere worse than when I first gave birth! And my vajayjay has some sudden swelling and intense pain at the bottom. Yikes, WTF is that?

Wow! Sounds like you're all growing good sized babies! K is 10lbs 3 oz at 2 months old. He's just outgrown his newborn size clothes and while I'm happy he's growing, I'm sad it has to be so fast. DD and DS are getting used to him, but they still hate having to wait while I take care of him. Dd fell on him while he was on the bed and DS dumped him out of a chair onto the wood floor!: Thankfully babies are pretty resilient although their mothers may not be the same ever again!

Labor vibes Suzylou!!!!!!!!!

We're doing ok. Nursing is still a challenge. I got pretty engorged and she wasn't latching well because of it, and then my nipples got cracked, yada yada yada. Things are getting better. My mom is going home tomorrow and I'm sort of terrified. Dan will take off a few days, but he can't clean and do laundry like my mom can.

My pubic bone HURTS! Seriously, whats up with that? With Julian, my PSD went away as soon as he was born, but this time, it seems like its here to stay. I can barely walk.

my dd turned six this past wednesday! ohmigod.... and Liam sure has hit 12.4 lbs somehow. oh wait, it's because he nurses ALL THE TIME! A moment asleep is a moment not nursing which is apparently a moment wasted LOL. We got our beauuuuuuuuuuutiful new didymos (pfau) and did our first back carry in it! I love love love wraps.
Poor Erin... call me if you need anything!

Are we all switching to the new forum? When does this DDC get kicked out (boo).

Well, we had FIL's funeral Tuesday. Which was an all day "pass-the-baby" event. It wasn't bad though, everyone was very very nice about asking first. Something that didn't happen with my family when dd1 was a newborn. I freaked out DH's uncle. I was sitting nursing Reese. He walked right up and was standing over us looking down at her and asked if she was sleeping. I said nice and calm "nope, she's eating" because honestly him standing there didn't bother me at all and nothing was showing anyway. I think the man turned five different shades of red. He was stammering and apologizing as he backed away.

I think we're finally getting into a groove. I'm taking my supplements and feeling human again. We're battling a reaction to fleece, which sucks since my favorite AIOs are all fleece. Oh well, I'll just have to switch to fitteds and wool. ::: Nursing is going great, and even tandeming is getting easier. Now if our family-wide insomnia would go away, it'd be great!

Baby loves the sling. I'm mostly using the ring slings when we're out and about. Today I got more looks, stares, points, and questions in 2 hours at the mall than I have in the entire 2.5 years I've been babywearing. I've gotten used to it by now, but tonight I couldn't walk five feet without someone taking notice of the sling.

DD1 and I are figuring out how to maintain our relationship while incorporating the baby into it. Slowly, but surely. It helps that she's getting so much more verbal. I think she's learning at least one new word each day. And her being able to communicate things makes handling two kids a lot easier.
