38w 5d here, anytime would be alright with me.
DD was born at 38wks, DS was 39wks 1d. So with my history of early ones I hope it will be sooner than later.
Also, my mom is already here and leaves 2 days after my due date b/c she was so convinced I'd go really early as I'm already 2cm and mostly effaced.
She got here the 10th...so waiting, waiting, waiting.

Still here. 38w2d. I am ready whenever the baby is

40wks+5

Nothing going on here, other than the 3 bouts of labor that didn't bring a baby. I didn't have anything like that with my first, but I hear it happens more and more with subsequent pregnancies. I'm just afraid that when it IS the real thing, I'm going to doubt it and not call in the "troops" soon enough (especially my mom, my companion for DS during the birth, who live nearly two hours away).

37w3d. Still here and still have some time to go.

39w 2d...feeling great and just waiting...but not feeling like baby is ready yet... :-)

38w6d. give me another hour, and it'll be 39weeks.

i am almost logistically ready for the baby, except that now i am very, very, very sick, and hardly able to move or breathe. i hope with all hope that the baby holds off until i can get better, because i don't feel strong enough to labor right now, and that petrifies me. i have been working out and taking amazing care of myself all pregnancy, and now my body is shutting down on me, when i need it most.

39w1d and not feeling like it's going to happen anytime soon (though it would be OK if it did). Babe #1 was born 41w and babe #2 was born some where between 41w5d and 42w2d.

38w5d. I was talking to my mother and I said that chances were this one would be a few days early because DS was on his EDD. She laughed at me -- her first was 1.5 weeks early, and her second (me) was almost 3 weeks late. So who knows?

Though I've decided that I'm giving birth on the 24th, so I'm not holding my breath. Besides, I have a very painful cough right now, coupled with extreme fatigue from the virus, and I have no interest in giving birth like this! I got sick on Friday, and it's following the pattern of DS's cold last week, which lasted 7-8 days, so I'm hoping no baby until at least...Friday.

Feel better!!!

To DovsMom & HardcoreMom

I wouldn't think you would go into labor feeling so awful. I always hear the example that if a coyote (or other mammal) were to give birth in an environment unsafe then their body would be flooded with adrenaline and it isn't conducive to getting or keeping labor going. If you are feeling anxious or unable, I would think something in your body (if not adrenaline) would inhibit labor until you felt more ready...within reason. But kwim?

Rest as much as you can momma's and I will be sending you some healthy and strengthening vibes. You just tell those babies they aren't allowed to come yet, mom needs to recoup.

Much luck ladies!

SeaDoula,

You wouldn't think your body would go into labor while you were sick however when I was pregnant with my daughter I got the flu. When I say the flu, I mean the real flu...the kind where you wish you would die rather than have to move your body etc.
Sure enough I went into labor and I'm guessing it's no surprise that after 26 hours of labor which included 5 hours of pushing I had a c/s. It totally sucked. Needless to say, I'm psycho about not being out in public right before my due date now as I truly do not want to get sick.
(I know this isn't helpful to anyone here but I just wanted to let you know it can happen.)

40 + 5. I've had tons of contractions, lost a little mucus. But baby has not dropped at all. Last time I was checked (2 weeks ago!) I was at 2 cm. Come on, child!

39wks2days... No real signs of impending labor yet, though this baby is sitting way loooooow.... Owww, the pressure! I think I'm going a few days past my due date (the 20th). Hopefully those days don't turn into weeks. I'm ready to NOT be pg and to see this baby!!

Hope everyone gets over their illnesses. I'm still getting over my nasty cold/cough from new year's!

IKWYM. I'm down to only 2 pairs of pants that I like and that don't press on my bladder. I keep wondering if I need to keep washing maternity clothes, or if this will be the last day I'll wear a particular item.

Danie I keeping my fingers crossed for you

I'm still here also 38 weeks & 4 days. Today was a really miserable day with getting comfortable. I would be able to handle this better if his foot or something wasn't lodge in my rib cage 24/7. No matter if I sit, lay down or stand I'm in constant pain.

hugs to all. i'm 40 weeks, 4 days.
i feel like it's dragging on forever now. mostly b/c people keep telling me that. "when's that baby gonna BE HERE?!"
"are you having any contrax/show/dilation?"
"you should :insert personal anecdotal labor-starting tip here!"
this is a second pregnancy and i've been crampy and having random contrax for a week and a half now, on top of the really uncomfortable pelvis pain i've had for a month. my baby fella has been engaged and dropped for 2 weeks. my sleep is crap.i'm having heartburn in the night.
i'm not. comfy.
my dd was 3 weeks past her EDD, too, and i couldnt have her at home like i'd planned, so this is at the back of my mind too.
also, dh-on vacay time from work-has to go back to work Sat.
i feel like a watched pot. my midwife told me to try and forget i'm pregnant, so that's what i'm working on. i've told my family to stop haggling me too.
*sending labor vibes to all of us who need them*

39 weeks today. i'm also trying to forget that i'm pregnant because i'm already impatient and can not imagine what state i will be in in two weeks if i am still pregnant. ds was 11 days late and midwife said to prepare for that again, but i didn't and now every day i'm just misserable and i haven't even reached my due date. i know it is my fault for thinking that this baby could come early.

my prayers are with all you mamas getting close to 42 weeks.
