I bought a can of fava beans at the store, I have no idea what to do with them. I've eaten them before fresh but never canned. It was an impulse buy but now i need to figure out something tasty: Anyone
dh warms them on the stove, mashes hardboiled egg, eats it with bread. Cumin and either clarified butter or pure sesame oil for toppers. sometimes chopped tomato and onion. (an African thing I guess I never ate fava beans before I married him)
I've made some killer falafel's from fava beans. Mash 'em and mix them with chopped onion and garlic, parsley, flour, a little cumin, and a pinch cayenne. Roll them into balls or patties and fry 'em up.
