leaking accompanied by cramps...how can I tell?

uh...I woke up at 8:30 feeling some weird pain I thought was gas. Without giving you a long-winded recap of the last hour, I've had what feels like a leak and some pink-tinged wipes, along with inconsistent cramping in my back and stomach.

I'm seeing my midwife today at 2:30, but should I call her anyway?

I'm CERTAINLY not an expert, but that sounds like some bloody show (or at least a plug) and contractions. I haven't called my dr b/c mine are inconsistent plus I see him today at 350....but if you'd be more comfortable calling, then go ahead!!

You could call her just to give her a heads up. It sounds like contrax and show! Today could be your day!!! Happy strength vibes coming your way!

I would give her a call anyway. The pink tinged wipes would get me excited.. I keep waiting to see those

the cramping has gotten slightly more consistent. So I called her.

thanks mamas, i'm a little scared but trying to get my mind around it. I still hadn't made my frozen post-partum pads so I'm finishing up that right now, and I'm going to have my husband do a load of laundry and dishes...WHY didn't I do them last night?!

did get a decent night of sleep though, for the first time in a month, so that must have been a sign. I did NOT expect to be going into labor so soon. I seriously didn't. I thought I'd be way overdue.

We'll see how far this goes!

Thinking of you as well Fishie kisses...it could be a good day!

hey there. i hope that this is it for you. good luck. i was supposed to go see vicki today but changed it to tomorrow. i hope you have a quick labor, because i'd hate for it to ruin my appointment tomorrow. i'm totally kidding when i say that. i'll be thinking about you today and can't wait for an update.

othersomethings and i have the same midwife. midwife just called me and canceled my appointment today because she said she had someone who has been in labor since yesturday and who she is transfering to the hospital today. she said that the woman was fine. i'm just thinking that it is probably othersomethings, so lets all think about her today.
