Thanks everyone! We're home now and everything is getting on track. It was so great to be able to nurse in my own bed and for the two of us to conk out right there!
I was worried that bonding would be delayed because of our early separation, but I'm finding that we are maybe even closer because of the trauma for both of us around this birth. I don't want to let her out of arms! And DH is even more attached--he sings songs to her day and night, most of which he makes up on the spot. It's sweet.
