Lice off?

I haven't tried it, but I've tried almost every other product on the market.
We get lice about once every two years or so and was SUCH a pain in the ass. I would go broke trying to get rid of it, and I'd spend weeks washing the kids and our clothing and our bedding and combing their hair out....If I even suspected we had lice I'd go into a mental meltdown. It's exhausting and expense to get rid of.
A few years ago the neighbor kids had it so badly that their mom ended up cutting her dd's hair down to almost a buzz cut. They too had tried everything and it just kept coming back. That was when I discovered that Tea Tree oil actually works on lice. Now when we get lice it's the only thing that I use and instead of going into an utter panic and dragging every stitch of our clothing/bedding to the laundry matt, I'm now pretty laid back about it. It even dissolves the eggs so you don't have to use the nit comb.
Here's what I do.
I add about 30 drops of tea tree oil to a bottle of shampoo and shake it up really well.
I set the kids in the tub and wash their hair with this-leaving it on for about five minutes and then rinse it off.
I do this for three to five days and the lice are gone.
I also get a spritzer bottle and fill it with water and some drops of tea tree oil. During the day I spritz their hair lightly with it and leave that on.
Tea tree is an excellent bug repellent.
I also use this to spray our bedding and couches.
Just to be safe I repeat this process about a week later-which is when the eggs would hatch if they hadn't died.
I've done this now through three cycles of us having lice and it was all we needed.

this stuff smells like tea tree oil... I am pretty sure I smell lavender too... I don't know why it doesn't say what oils are in it... it just says "essential oils"

I would think it'd work then. Those are all bug repellant essential oils, and it does have the tea tree.
Then again, I think all you'd need is the tea tree. I have a baby climbing on me so I can't check to see how much it costs vs just buying TT oil and putting that in shampoo. How are you supposed to use it? I know that ONE time of doing my shampoo doesn't get rid of it. I had to do it for a few days in a row, but rest assured mama, this will pass lol.
