Every once in a while we have a lice outbread at the domestic violence shelter I work at. While I know the common sense issues, like do not touch heads, do not share hair items, etc, I was wondering if there was a natural lice prevention I could make. That way if we have a child with lice, I have a more natural alternative for the other clients *and staff* who are worried about it.
I know that mouse, gel and hairspray are good because lice do not like dirty hair. However, I don't think that would be a good idea for the younger kids to use. Can I make up something with my tea tree oil, or does anyone else have a suggestion? I would like to avoid chemicals if possible. A lot of parents do not want them on their children.
