Woohoo! I did it!

I took my 13 yo 8th grader out of school today and officially sent in my intent to homeschool form! This won't be the first time we've homeschooled (we did up to the 3th grade-then enrolled her in school then out again late in the 5th grade year-then back in the 7th grade year-mostly due to life changes, etc.)
SO I'm back into the homeschool group. Next year the Montessori school my 11yo daughter goes to won't have her grade so I'll be homeschooling her as well.
Coolness!!!

Just had to post.

Welcome back!!

I thought we had to send in the intent form and get a card back first? : I did that and I'm waiting on it to come back before taking my son out. I'd love to be able to take him out today if that's possible but I don't even know where to call in my state to find out for sure.

There should be either a student services or home education link in most all school board websites(depending on the legality in your state)-I just printed and faxed in our form of intent, called about a half hour later to see if they received it and they had. My daughter will be officially dropped from her school today and listed as home educated.
Maybe if you called and asked if they received the form? Good luck!

hmmm.. I didn't see a telephone anywhere and the form I sent in had no telephone or fax on it. I wanted to fax it but just couldn't find it. Thanks for the info. I'll go check now.
