She is gone

My grandmother left this earth this morning while I struggled at the dentist with her namesake. I didn't go to see her becasue I was told "lets see how she is at the end of the week" Well she didn't make it until the end of the bleeping week. She's gone NOW and I didn't say goodbye. I am so angry and empty all I want to do is scream and scream some more. I hate God right now, HATE him and will never be the same again.

Grandma you were loved beyond measure and everything to me. When I had noone, I always had you. You will be missed deeply. May you rest in peace.

I am so sorry you did not get to say an earthly goodbye mama. I lost my Grandma in August, and was lucky enough to see her leave. Your Grandma knows you love her. May I share a poem I wrote for her the night I arrived in SC to say my goodbye. She was in ICU and never really was all the way there before she passed.

We are all Born of her
From her we have all been created
In her blood we find our own.

She is leaving us now.
Her blood
Her flesh
Her breath.
She is returning to her mother
From whom we are all born.

We are of her and she of us.

This mother, grandmother, great grandmother
of us all now makes her exit.

We will all return to her as she now returns to
her mother and her mother’s mother.

We will all return to her as she returns to the mother of us all.

She is of flesh but fleeting.
She has breath but little.
She has heart barely beating.

Give her peace in her journey.
Give her speed in her race.
Give her light in her darkness.

Goodbye sister of sisters.
Goodbye wife among wives.
Goodbye mother of my mother
I will miss you.

I will let you go now.

We release you from your trials.
We send you in light and love.
We send you in forgiveness and understanding.

Rest dear Grandmother
Your work is now done.

Thank you! I would be honored if you shared. I read this(barely) at my Grandma's small family memorial.

I am still trying to deal with the loss of her. I hope you can find peace with your loss mama. I wish you a safe journey to her funeral, and find comfort in your family.

Some Grandmothers are extremely special, as was mine. I was out of town when a Dr told her she had two weeks left and by the time I recieved any messages it was too late, I would have never had enough time to get there.

I still regret that I didn't get to see her one more time or say goodbye.

I understand your anger - I suppose I'm still living with mine too and that was 7 yrs ago

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my grandma, my best friend in the whole world, 22 years ago. I too, was not there to say good bye. I had been there every day for months, but the day of her death, I was told by my father and aunt (her dc) that I needed time with my family. So I wasn't there. And she died without my saying goodbye. I think that was one of the most difficult things I have ever dealt with, so I completely understand your pain, your anger, having felt all of those feeling too. And then it occurred to me one day that SHE knew how very much I loved her, how important she was to me, whether I said goodbye or not.
Sending you comfort and peace.
for your grandma.
