Nightmares?

Twice in the past few days, I've had dreams where my kids are going to school, and they have to use the commuter rail train that my husband takes to work every day. It's not their first day of school in my dream, it's like they've been going for a while, but boy, do I feel nervous about it during the dream. Last night's involved my 4 year old sobbing as he was about to get on the train, and I kept telling him that he didn't have to go, that he could stay home with me.

I wake up feeling horrible, and kind of confused. First off, the elementary school is, like.. a street away from our house, I don't know why they'd have to take the train. But.. we're planning on homeschooling! What's up with that?

Just thought sharing this with you guys might make these dreams stop.. they sure are irritating.

Hey Rachel! I have these dreams also. That is so weird. I thought it was just me second guessing my decision to homeschool. It's always a horror story with Thomas in school. The teacher forgot about him on a field trip and he gets left behind...he cries to not go, and the principal yells at him...crazy dramatic stuff.

I hope it passes for you. Congrats on #3. Do you know what you are having? Talk to you soon.

Hey Dani, good to hear from you.

I don't know if mine have to do so much with homeschooling, it's just the idea of them riding the train by themselves without any adult supervision that sends me into a panic. I hear that kindergarteners in Japan are expected to ride the subway by themselves every day.. maybe that's where the dreams are coming from. I'd say your dreams sound more pro-homeschooling than anything.

We're having a girl, big surprise for us. Thanks.
