Oh, we love Poi Dog. Haven't heard of the other two. We saw PDP in Va Beach in 1995. They are so great. I would love to go see them again. Are you from Chicago?

love, Love, LOVE the McKrells!!!

They are from my area!...I've seen them live several times! They played at a brunch we went to a few years ago, and the kids ADORED them.

Awesome Irish music...we even sing one of their songs at our Religious Ed prayer services...our RE director is possibly their biggest fan.

We are HUGE McKrells fans

Is Poi Dog an Austin, TX group? If so, my sister was friend's with them and I got to meet them! They are very cool, nice people.

Not from Chicago- I live outside Albany.

I can't believe that no Canadians bounced in to say good stuff about the Lowest of the Low. They were fabulous when they were together.

I am not sure where Poi Dog is from. Chicago, maybe? Or Texas. Take your pick. I just like their music and have been listening to them since the late 80's. It is pretty hard to find their albums, though.


I just started listening to the McKrells in the last couple years. I worked at the big East Durham Irish Fest last year and was right next to the music tent. Nice music, but SOOO loud when you have to be right next two it for two days straight! At least it was Irish music and not something I didn't like.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Poi Dog Pondering.... Wonder where they are now.

I saw them in New Orleans. Fun and then some.

I know Poi Dog. Took me a while to remember, but I know them. Not personally, of course. They are from Hawaii and decided to join the Austin music scene. I think they went to Chicago from Austin. If my memory is a little bit correct (which really may not be that great of a chance), they were in Austin for maybe 5 years.

Yup, that's the Poi Dog I was thinking about. I knew they were from Hawaii originally, but didn't realize they moved to Chicago. Such great music and nice people! I was a kid in Jr. High when I met them, so it was very cool of them to show interest and not patronize.

Another Poi Dog Pondering Fan....especially their older stuff. saw them in SF about 8 or 9 years ago......what a great live band.

I didnt like thier last cd....hope they go back to their old style.....

ok! i'm a canadian who has had a soft spot for lowest of the low...

but it's nowhere near as gushy as my soft spot for the rheostatics (sigh!)
