My DS did not like slings (we tried 3 or 4 styles) and neither did I. I either carried him, or yep, he was in his bucket.
I remember taking him for walks while he was in his bucket attached to the stroller and honestly, I recall a couple of sling mothers giving me sort of condescending looks. I couldn't believe it! DS was not crying, not even making a peep, he was just a happy little guy checking out the world.
Judging babies in buckets is one of my biggest pet peeves. Unless you *know* for a fact that a baby is rarely held, it is ridiculous to judge a baby out and about who happens to be in a bucket.
