Any ideas for helping chapped nipples?

And no I don't think it's thrush...it's almost exactly what I get on the backs of my hands in the winter...dry skin that gets cracked and itchy. On my hands I can keep them dry and use oils but I'm tandem nursing and my 2 y.o. nurses what seems like all night long and much of the day so oil (olive oil primarily) doesn't stay on well. Not too keen on the idea of Lasinoh since I'd not voluntarily feed it to the children and they'd probably get some in their mouths while nursing.

Any ideas would be quite welcome!

Hmmm... I use coconut oil on mine, and that helps. It's heavier than olive oil, so it seems to stay on better.
