I am fairly new to doula work so I haven't worked out a lot of these type of scenarios. If someone approaches you and plans to do something you are philosophically against because research shows it is dangerous or unneccesary do you choose not to work with that client and if so how do you tell them that you don't want to work with them?
I am torn because as a doula I don't make decisions for my clients, but in this case this potential client would like her water broken at 38 weeks so her baby doesn't get too big. This was how her previous baby was born. Or am I being too picky and need to get my opinions/judgements out of the way?
How do others deal with this? Thanks!
