Crafts to give boys

I have a craft swap coming up with families with some older boys (ages 8 and up). They are beyond the dress up and soft toy age. I'm waiting for the specific info about their interests but I thought I would ask here for some inspiration.

I sew, knit (somewhat), do photography, needle felt, paper craft, make books etc.

I would love some ideas or links if you have any to share.

Thanks in advance

What do you mean by craft swap? Are you making something for them, or giving them the raw materials to make something themselves?

Sorry - I mean our family will make something to send to their family.

I'm thinking about making this art folio for a nine yr old.And another mama here made a pillow with matching pjs that turned out cute. She posted this link. Her gift was for a girl but if you scroll down, there are some guitar pillows that would be funny for a boy.Actually, with different fabric,I think the flipflop she made would be fun for a boy too.

Or what about hackey sacks?
