My periods have never been regular. Usually they a lot longer than 28 days, although I never charted before I was on hormonal bc, so I don't know much more than that.

I've been on hormonal birth control for about 3 years. I stopped using hormonal bc once during that time because of the expense, but I developed light bleeding for about 2 weeks. When I called the gyno, she told me I should go back to hormonal bc, and I did.

Well, I just quit using it again after my last period, because we will be TTC sometime this year. We aren't TTC yet, but just getting prepared for it. My last period started Thursday, Jan. 3rd. My bc schedule would have me inserting my new ring on Saturday the 5th. I didn't do that. Just this morning, I started bleeding. Is this normal for coming off of hormonal bc? Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you think there is any possibility I could be pg? DH and I DTD on Saturday, the 12th, and I started bleeding today, the 16th. We used a condom, but first DH put it on the tip of his penis (which I'm sure had some fluid on it) backwards (it's been a while since we used condoms) and then put it on the right way. Could this result in pg? Could it be implantation bleeding, or just the effects of coming off bc?

If it's just coming off bc, then what do I do to stop the bleeding?? Last time, the solution was to get back on the hormonal bc to regulate myself, but since we are going to TTC soon, that is not a good option.

What should I do?

Thanks!
