The "Wishlist" Thread

Thread Starter
Or "the things I would like to buy but I'm being frugal so I can't."

I have wanted one of these homebirth plaques since my oldest was born 9 years ago!

Now I want 3 of them! But everytime I have ever looked at them I have justified it away as unecessary. What do you really want (doesn't have to be tangible) that you just never seem to make fit in the budget because it seems a little frivolous or unnecessary to you?

my wishlist is all big things. new vacuum, new kitchenaid, new couch, new dining room table, new dishes, new silverware.... sigh.

A minivan. A big ol' Honda Odyssey minivan, with plenty of room for me to hop into the back with two kids and buckle them into their carseats, sheltered from the rain, and without leaving me feeling exposed & distracted in public parking lots.

DH keeps saying I should just buy one, but we really can't afford it, and even if I could, I can't afford the gas. So I'm still driving my eight-year-old Honda Civic. (I love my Civic, don't get me wrong, but I would the minivan!)

Ooh, a twelve passenger van. A new AC unit. A new oven(that works!). New glasses!!

Aveda Shampure shampoo and conditioner.

A king sized bed... Our queen is getting too crowded with a toddler and two overgrown cats.

And in the really big, never going to happen soon way - an Hybrid car!!!!

I would really like this but can't seem to justify the splurge. My dad got one for Christmas and I fell in love.

I also would like a really good professional photo session of my family. Not $5 special from Walmart etc.

There are a million things, but the biggest right now is new ink.

stacking wash/dryer for my bedroom closet
a closet full of hanna anderson clothes for my kids
a GAS stove (please!)
um, housekeeping service?

I have a van, but now I want to downsize to a (new) Honda Civic because my kids have their own cars now. I can't bring myself to make car payments, so I drive the van.

I want a new driveway - ours is rutted and chipping away.

I want someone to paint my house.

And, for something purely "I just waaaant it!!", I want a Le Crueset dutch oven, but only because they are so pretty. I would probably be afraid to cook in it and ruin the pretty, and I have a cheapy that works just fine.

I want... new clothes and glasses or contacts for me. A dining room table and a new couch. My house remodeled and paid off (not happening soon). Eventually a hybrid car but that can wait since I'm enjoying not having a note.

Photoshop
A new camera
A standing, every 8 weeks, highlight and cut appointment at a fancy salon
New bedding for our bed--I'm trying to figure out how to copy a $1500 look on a budget, but I'd rather just blow the money.
