This past weekend there was a huge health expo in DC. I was really looking forward to going, especially when I saw that there was going to be a breastfeeding booth. I couldn't wait to see what they had. So my mom and I went and could not find the breastfeeding booth anywhere. We asked two officials and they couldn't find it either. So we never saw it...I'm thinking it wasn't there. This definitely makes me want to write someone in charge. Every disease and health issue you can imagine was there. They did testing for HIV on site, as well as many other illnesses. The Children's hospital even had a HUGE section with all things related to children's health, except breastfeeding. I mean not even one little brochure. I think that is a huge disservice to our community and a big opportunity was missed in spreading education about BFing. Anyone else there?
