Least allergenic oils?

This past week dd has been breaking out behind her knees. Her diet's been clear of all her allergens for a long time so this is a new thing (ugh). Anyway, I started her on an elimination today and her legs are red again. I suspect it might be olive oil because the other foods she's eating aren't ones she consumed much this past week when her outbreak began (pears, squash, chicken). Olive oil is the only constant. Well, and maybe rice, but again, she didn't eat rice products everyday last week so that's not my first suspicion.

She can't do soy, corn, nut or seed oils, so is canola my only option? Thank you.

Coconut oil is a good cooking oil, or maybe palm oil. I've also heard you can use organic lard if you consume animal products, or organic bacon fat. If you can do dairy, butter might be a good option. If you use canola, make sure it is organic. Non-organic canola is genetically modified and pretty scary!

All canola is genetically modified if you read the history of it. And according to some books/websites, Canada paid the US FDA $50 million to get it on the safe foods list, so I'm not using Canola anymore. Palm or coconut oil is what we've been using (we can't do corn, peanut or soy either). Organic lard works too, if you can find a source.

Thank you both. I didn't know that about canola. How terrible We can do palm oil, thank goodness. I'm going to look into finding some safe lard. I'm hoping it's not really the olive oil, but I doubt I'll be able to tell for a few more days.
