Your vote could give $ to Milk Bank

Let’s pass this around, and see if we can make it a go - as said below, our breastfeeding Internet community is strong – and we may only need 600 votes.
(I am on several lists with Naomi, and she has been working hard for a Milk Bank for her area for several years.)

Hello everyone,

Last week Tanya Lieberman, a member of the milk bank
from Holyoke, MA, told us about a competition on a
website called IdeaBlob (IdeaBlob.com) The contest is
open to anyone with a business or non-profit idea, and
she thought it would be a good opportunity for the
Mothers Milk Bank of New England. The winner receives
$10,000. We worked together to put together a proposal
which I posted this morning.

The winner is decided by votes cast online, which is
where you come in! Last month the winning proposal
got only 600 or so votes. The breastfeeding community
is strong and internet connected and savvy, so it's
really possible for the Milk Bank to win. The first
votes must be cast this week (1/15- 1/21), so don't
delay.

So, please post about this contest on your blog or on
any discussion boards you run or frequent, encouraging
people to vote for the milk bank proposal! And of
course, please vote, too. Feel free to pass this
along to anyone else who might be willing to post on
it.

on IdeaBlob, and vote for this project! You have to
register first and confirm by email, which doesn't
take long.
Blog or post about this wherever you can to help bring
in more votes.

WOW!!!! if I am understanding this correctly - it looks like it has gone from a 0% rank yesterday, to a 99% rank today????

But the voting is open until Jan 21 - we'll have to keep spreading the word, so that no one else has the chance to rally and catch up.

I looked at the others in the race - I think we are in the lead. Actually the 2nd place idea, has more views that us. We must get a higher % of people who actually are voting, and not just reading the proposal.

I do feel bad that ]WaterBaby CranioSacral Therapy Clinics happened to be in the same running. I heard about that one through Birth Ecology Project. I thought it was going to be a notice for the milk bank, but it was for her work.

I hope she can submit it for another go.
