Is this serger a good deal?

There is a local fabric shop that is selling a serger. It looks nice and well taken care of (no cracks or even dirty). It's all metal inside and is a four thread. They are asking $100 for it. DO you think this is a good deal? What else should I look for on the serger? TIA!

depending on what model and when it was made, it sounds like it's a good deal. Also see if you can do a test run with some fabric, to make sure tension is set right, etc.

What brand and model. How old. If it's so old that you can't get parts for it if there's a problem then I'd go new. I know amazon sells a brother seger that's well regarded that goes on sale for $200 fairly often.

Well, at least it's not so old that it's black cast iron with the manual foot pedal The machine says "La Aguja" on it, which may be the model? Don't know. I will try to go in when the owner of the store is there so she can let me see it better.

I've seen the sergers on Amazon, but Amazon doesn't ship those items to PR. Only books, cds, electronic media, etc. No food or anything.
