another feb mama in labor

Keep her in your thoughts. Eilonwy(Rynna) is in early labor right now. Just saw an update on her in frugal families forum. Thought everyone might want to know so you can keep her and seamonkey in your thoughts for a safe delivery and nice mature lungs. She's thinking he'll be here at the latest by Saturday so just let her know you are thinking of her. She's pretty bummed.

I was so hoping Seamonkey would bake longer - lots of good vibes your way Rynna and that despite being early, that Seamonkey is fully baked.

Thanks ladies. Things are going well-- I refuse to leave until it's absolutely necessary, but this is the real thing. Had some goopy-goo to go along with the total body purge fest. It's very early, I figure I've probably got all of tonight and most of tomorrow at least. But now I kind of want to crawl and moo for a bit.

GL, Rynna.

Here's to hoping and praying that there will be no need for the NICU, despite being not quite term.

GL to you!! With my dd one of our friends was due at the same time and the baby was born at 36 weeks she went home with no complications 2 days later, sending good vibes your way!

:::::goodv ibes: Rynna. I know you'd wanted SeaMonkey to stay put longer, but at 36 weeks he could very well be fully baked. There is a wide variation in normal human gestation periods; my 38 weeker was a full pound heavier and seemed much more mature than the smaller of my 40 weekers.

Pace yourself, crawl and moo all you want, and here's hoping you're able to get at least a bit of sleep tonight. I like longer labours better myself; my six-hour-wonder is not someting I'd particularly like to relive!

Yes, good vibes to you and seamonkey. My neighbor just had her son at 34 weeks and he is healthy and happy. Wishing the same to you.

:

my 2nd was a 36.3 weeker . 7 lbs 4 oz & perfect in every way
we left the hospital 24 hours & 1 min after birth

my oldest son was also 36.6 weeks,7 lbs. .. no problems except jaundice , probably related to his genetic disorder

If your due date is 2/9, then you are 37 weeks on Saturday (I'm a day behind ya, so that's how I know). 37 weeks is considered full term. I'm thinking that the baby will be fine, and maybe it's just the right time for your little seamonkey. I wish you both the best of health

Good luck Rynna! Wonderful labor and nice mature lung vibes for you

Warm thoughts and best of luck for you and SeaMonkey! I'm sure if your LO is that adamant about coming out, it's the right time.

Don't forget to post pictures, we're all excited to meet baby #2 from the February DDC, even if a tad earlier than anticipated.

Many blessings and good thoughts your way, Rynna!

Can't wait to see pics of seamonkey!

You've run out of possibilities to try to stall this out, right? (the neat vodka and the like?) Then he's picking his own birthday. Are you getting any sleep at all?
Are you aiming for a VBAC, or are you expecting that they're going to want to do a c-section on arrival at hospital? (or both...)

eta: just seen the answer to the question. I'm so sorry this is happening, but I'll stay close to the computer today (it's 10am our time, whatever it may be yours) in case you get bored and want virtual company...
