funky knit fabrics anyone?

I'm looking for knit fabric (preferably cotton) in cute, funky patterns and/or bold, non-pastel colors (a la Zutano) I want to make some clothes for ds, but I'm at a loss as to where to find cool fabric! I don't understand why, when I go to the fabric store, the "juvenile apparel" fabrics are all basically quilting cotton with no give in any direction. And the only knit fabrics I find are either solid colors, or ugly. I don't really understand what kind of kids clothes one would make with stiff, non-stretchy fabric. Button-down dress shirts I guess? I'm having about the same luck online too. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

www.thefabricfairy.com

www.sewzannesfabrics.com

www.sewbaby.com

Sometimes www.fabric.com has cute cotton knit prints but they're definitely more of a crapshoot.

I wonder if any manufacturers have outlets in your area. I'm lucky to have a chezami outlet near me and the sell over runs of lovely fabric.
Ebay is another great source for fabric

Perfect! Thank you so much for the sites! I'll also try ebay. I don't know about the manufacturer's outlets but I'll try to check it out. Thanks again ladies

I love the fabric at www.wazoodle.com located in Canada. US orders are cheaper, the shipping isn't bad either!

Aha! I rarely read sewingmamas, and pretty much never post, but I thought I associated the name with that forum or maybe The Fabric District.

Well, there goes the fabric budget for January....

HEllo!
Just wanted to give a heads up I have moved my store online from hyena cart to www.crybabysboutique.com . I was a one woman show for a long time and just couldnt keep up after I realized how fast we were growing. I now have helpers and the shipping turn around time is FAST. You can sign up for a free account and receive 10% off your first order along with discounts and promos. I have a few great customers from here so I just wanted to share the love
