MDs support FF - Page 2

I'm not surprised. So many docs are only pro-bf if the mom has absolutely no problems with it. As soon as they see cracked nipples, mastitis, thrush, etc. It's like "Oops, you are no good at breastfeeding, here's some formula!"
It is SO important to have not only support, but good resources as well. Someone who has done it and has overcome the problems that you are having.

Yep.. When I got home from the hospital after having my ds, I had eight big cans of formula powder. The hospital gave me six and my own OBGYN gave me the other two when he came in to check my incision.

I was also given bottles, nipples, coupons for more formula, pamphlets on formula feeding, a memory book with advertisements for Enfamil inside, and a cooler bag to carry the formula around in.

And one flyer about breastfeeding. LOL!

Sorry, I forgot to add:

I believe that formula is pushed on mothers for the same reason the vaccinations and ADD drugs are pushed on mothers... because the health-care industry is a machine, and if you breastfeed and refuse drugs and vax, you don't feed the machine.
They are very definitely competing with Mother Nature in every way.

Thanks
