Spotting after stopping contraception

I just recently stopped using Nuvaring. I am currently having spotting, and it is way too early to be AF. It's also not implantation bleeding (discussed this with a midwife).

Has anyone else experienced this, and do you know what I can do about it?

It would help to know if you stopped using it after a full cycle and a period or mid cycle. Either way it could be normal but if you stopped mid cycle it is much more likely.

I didn't stop mid-cycle. I had the ring in for 3 weeks, then took it out and had my period like I was supposed to, and didn't put a new ring in. Then about a week after my period ended, I started with this light spotting. It's lasted for 3 days (don't know about today yet).

So, this is normal, and my cycles will get back to normal soon?

I would say it is normal. The spotting hasn't been long and its been light. I can't guarantee that your cycles will be normal at any certain time but if you were regular before/have no other complications and were not on bc for years and years it is likely you will be regular again soon.

I'm not sure if you are actively ttc or just hoping to ttc soon but it shouldn't have an effect on that. Many women have the most luck in the months right after they stop bc. Good luck!
