ISO: simple pattern for boys' capri pants

My boy is 3 yrs old, size 3T/4T. A wonderful sewing friend has put out the offer to make him a pair of summer capris -- if I can provide her with a simple pattern. I'd love your references, so I don't have to spend hours searching at the fabric store. Thanks so much!

Hey OM--

I was in Hancock yesterday and all their Simplicity patterns were .99, so I grabbed a couple of patterns. Manpris, here we come!

Ack! I was in Hancock yesterday and I bought a Simplicity pattern for long shorts/capris. Also THE cutest patchy fabric for said long shorts for my boy. Totally, totally adorable. If anything can make my ds even more kissable, it will be these boypris.
