Portable changing pad?

Hi mamas! I'd like to make a couple of changing pads that I can slip into the diaper bag for our wee one arriving soon. What type of fabric do you think would work best? Any other suggestions, patterns, etc? Thanks!

I haven't made any, but I guess I would use old towels on the inside and whatever cotton cute print I found on the outside.

This tutorial looks pretty easy and could be quite inexpensive to make if you have prefolds lying around you could use.

I use fleece on the outer and a PUL type fabric for the back so nothing leaks through. I get mine from www.wazoodle.com

I just use pieces of a fabric that's sort of a rubberized material in the middle and flanked with flannel on both sides.

I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, but it's sold by the yard at JoAnn's.

Thank you mamas! scrapadoozer, that pattern is *perfect* - I'm making new burp cloths out of flannel/cotton, so I have a bunch of old prefolds from ds2 that I can use. Thanks!
