Baby (no name yet) was born January 18th at 4:55am after 30 hours of labor. 8lbs, 10oz and 20.5" long. She came in the water at home and it was amazing. But also the most difficult thing I've done in my entire life.
I'll write a birth story later... but a quick summary...
I was doing really well and was talking and joking in the pool at 8cm which was 10pm. I got out of the pool to speed it up and labored on the toilet and hanging onto Alex for about an hour which made my cervix swell. It was awful and if it weren't for Alex and the midwife I would have gone to the hospital. I finally was able to relax enough to let the swelling go down... NOT easy to do after 8cm. I screamed her out in 3 contractions. Pushing didn't feel good at all, I thought I would break in half.
I am SO happy. She's nursing really well and is just soooo perfect and sweet.
Alex was amazing and I fell in love with him 10 times more last night.
