I'll check with the c/m when I see her on Tuesday what the format is for birth plans and hospitals- I've edited everything down. When I go in, basically all they're going to know is that I'm a grand multip and a homebirth transfer. They won't know about Rowan unless they look closely or ask, and so won't really get why I'm so AROM-phobic, but that's pretty much par for the course.
Gerlassie, yep, we're lucky in that the government is committed to keeping homebirth available for all, but we have some pretty strong activists over here. The Wales thing is pure luck- because a large proportion of Wales is remote (upwards of an hour from the nearest hospital) and mountainous, they've always had a higher-than-average number of born before arrivals, and a higher neo-natal mortality rate than elsewhere: rather than going to the expense of running local birth units, the policy was made to push home birth. It's quite cool actually- our NCT region includes south Wales, so we get to hear all the success stories
