I have been using it to try and heal my gums and control
bacteria.

I think it is supposed to be very safe. Even my mainstream dentist recommended it. I think it tastes yuck, though! :nana:

i've been using this stuff called "oral pleasure" by gary null, and despite it's tongue-in-cheek name , it works really well. it's food grade h2o2 with some essential oils and xylitol, and i highly recommend it. i even use it on dd, i dip a qtip in it and "paint" the teeth that are showing signs of decay, and i really think it's working. it's cherry flavored, and it tastes pretty good. it's quite satisfying to see it foaming up around my gumline, too, like it know that it's working.

we also use MI paste to remineralize teeth. i bought that off of ebay.

good luck to you!

I find that my teeth hurt if I use it much. I have highly sensitive teeth however. I think colloidal silver is safer.

I like Listerine and it's made a great difference in my mouth health. It should kill germs as well as hydrogen peroxide. I imagine it's also cheaper and lasts longer.

Why does everyone recommend hydrogen peroxide?

My understanding is that Listerine (and Scope, etc.) is bad for the gums b/c the alcohol content dries them out. Even though Listerine initially kills the bacteria, the drying side effect creates a good environment for more bacteria to grow. Hydrogen peroxide is naturally produced by your white blood cells to kill germs and increases the oxygen in your gums.

besides what lirpasirhc said, peroxide is MUCH cheaper than Lysterine.
