Blood blister from poor latch - Should I pop it?

I nursed DS while lying down during the night last night, which we normally don't do. He had a poor latch, so I took him off and tried again. Four times. I finally gave in and just dealt with the pain for his 40-minute feed.

Afterward I was in loads of pain, but went to sleep. This morning I realized I have a huge blood blister (not a milk blister, but a blood blister from friction) on the tip of my nipple.

I cannot find at Kellymom or any other resource how I should treat this. Just put Lanolin on it? Or should I pop it? I cannot put ice on it, as I have Raynaud's.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Nevermind! It popped itself in my bra!

No more slide-lying to nurse on that side. Ouch.
