poly/cotton-how to wash?

Thread Starter
I bought some strechy cotton to make a wrap, the lady said there was no such thing as 100% cotton that is strechy so I think she said that MY fabric is a "poly/cotton blend"

It reminds me of T-shirt material.

Anyone know how I wash it? Tell me I can put it in the dryer. (pleasepleaseplease.)

Thx!

First of all, that lady is misinformed. I have many yards of 100% cotton knit fabric! You can treat poly cotton the same way you would 100% cotton. There is a chance it might pill more quickly than 100% cotton if you put it in the dryer a lot but it certainly won't hurt it beyond that to do so.

I second everything scrap said!

I have yards and yards of 100% cotton knits with plenty of stretch in 'em.

The poly/cotton will probably pill more and might shrink, but probably less than an unwashed 100% cotton. I'd still give a wash and dry before cutting for the wrap, though, just in case you loose some length.
