Henry Augustus was arrived quickly and naturally last Sunday, January 13 at 6:52 a.m. I started contractions at 10 p.m. the night before (10 min apart). By 2 a.m., they were 7 min apart and then suddenly, 4-5 minutes apart. I called my doula at 4:17 a.m. and she started over to our house. But, the contractions kept coming faster and faster so I called her back and we agreed to meet at the hospital. I got there at 5 a.m. and was already 8-9 cm dilated! I started pushing around 6 a.m. and he was born at 6:52 a.m.!
This was SOOO different than DD's birth. With her, I was induced with cervadil, then had pitocin, and epidural, and foreceps. I had NO interventions with Henry; it was awesome (and scary too). I was surprised at my LOUD screams and moans as I am a quieter, more private person. But, I was up showering an hour later and have just felt SO good this week. Henry has basically been sleeping this week, which has allowed all of h=us to actually get some rest. Of course, I am madly in love with this little peanut!
