Just made my first pair of pants for DS!

Okay, I know that it's probably a pretty basic thing, but I'm still proud of myself, LOL! They are even recycled! I took a pair of DH's old pajama pants that needed to be thrown away. Cut the legs up one seam (and kept the other seam intact). Used them from the bottom up, so I could make use of the fact that they were already hemmed. Just used a pair of flannel lounge pants that fit DS well as a pattern. Sewed the crotch sections. Then put them together and sewed up the legs. Added an elastic waist and voila!

I've never made any clothes before. I've never even used elastic before! I was so proud of myself. Now I'm making another pair for younger DS with another pair of old PJ pants that were bound for the garbage.

They aren't gorgeous, but hopefully functional.

I used this tutorial that I found from the Sew Mama Sew blog to help me out a bit. (Love that blog!)

I'll have to take a pic when DS wears them tonight!

Awesome! I've made lots of pants from that tut for my son and niece, and yes, they've been VERY useful! We've worn them to death, I do see having to mend some seams soon!
