Getting teeth out of order.....

Silly question here... I'm not concerned so much as just curious - Is it normal for a baby to get his teeth out of order? My son got his top and bottom central incisors at about the same time, then the top lateral incisors, and the teeth seemed to stop.

Then today, I notice that he's got a molar errupting (it's beyond errupting - it's there, not all the way out, but through the gum) on the bottom, before his lateral incisors...

As I said, I'm not really worried (actually, thrilled!!! I won't have to cut his food up quite so small anymore!), it just seems so strange!

This is EXACTLY what is happening to my son! Only we're on molar #2! I need some reassurance too.

Both my kids got their teeth out of order. It isn't a problem.

I didn't figure, just wanted to know he wasn't the only one!

My baby has his 2 top and 2 bottom front teeth. Now he has 2 molars on top and two molars on the bottom errupting. Strange!

Yep, my baby and my best friend's baby both got their teeth out of order. My friend's daughter looked like a jack o lantern for halloween with two top teeth on the sides but not the middle two.
