I just ordered 5 boxes of my yummy Yogi Women's Mother-to-be tea for $22.80 including shipping to Canada! This is great for me as I prefer using bagged tea (less work involved).

I got it at iHerb.com: http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=7765

I had previously bought it at TeaLand.com, but it is almost half the price at iHerb.

Making my pot for the day now.
Um, pot of RRL tea that is.

I've decided to try and make a french press of it every morning and then fill it up after I pour my 1st cup - which should give me three cups during the course of the day. I was at a tea house the other day with some friends and I got a small pot of RRL to drink and the girl behind the counter warned me that it would induce labour! I assured her it wouldn't but if you drink three cups a day is that a possibility? I make mine fairly strong.

Yup! I would get some alfalfa and peppermint too and make a tea with that and the RRL, it makes it taste much better.

ETA- Looks like they have a RRL tea already made with alfalfa, nettles and peppermint. Not sure if $12 a pound if a good price or not but at least then it's already mixed together for you.

Ugh. Haven't had any tea since Tuesday evening. Had to fast before eating the breakfast for my glucose test and then last night I was just totally wiped out! Putting the teapot on right now.

Meli, I've had a lot more than 3 cups in one day and I'm fine. I've read of many people that drink it all day long. Some people may be more sensitive than others (more bh), but I don't recall reading any instances of the tea actually inducing labor.

I've been drinking it daily for weeks but I think I am going to take a couple day break. I've been feeling like I was possibly a little low on calcium and magnesium so I need to build back up on those before drinking RRL. Last night ds was in our bed and kicked me in the belly fairly hard. I had painful BH for quite awhile last night. I almost got up to take a warm bath because of it. The RRL works too well on me when I'm low on cal and mag! Maybe I'll just drink the nettle and peppermint right now.

I'm super paranoid of dd kicking, but even more so now... I turned down the Rhogam shot yesterday, but if I have any uterine trauma I'll be getting it. Dd's been getting more and more rowdy during the night, too.

Feel better.

I've had 2 cups today so far, I'll have another one in a little while. I really need to get on the ball and order my bulk herbs so I can quit buying the already bagged tea, it's so expensive.

Thanks. I'm feeling really crampy today which I'm wondering also may be because I had a chiro adjustment yesterday and the baby flipped. Then when you add in ds kicking me, I think my uterus is pissed off. He keeps trying to climb on my belly too and its driving me bonkers. We've been trying to get both kids to sleep in their beds as I keep getting attacked in the night and I'm scared of a newborn in the bed. Right now I'm downing water, took a big dose of cal/mag and resting to see if this crampy feeling goes away. If not, I guess I will call the MW.

I have decided on the Rhogam yet, I wanted DH to get his blood typed before my next appt. I'm O neg, but we have no clue what he is. Both kids have been O neg also, so its possible I may not need it. I am just a tiny bit worried about the BH/cramping though, since I haven't had in irritable uterus problems this pregnancy. Both my other 2 were overdue and I know I don't have a UTI or anything. Baby is wiggling around really well so I'm sure things are fine, just irritated. I am most definitely skipping the tea until next week

I hope everything calms down in there for you! My uterus has been feeling irritated, but we're not sure what it is. I know it has nothing to do with the tea though... This was noticeable when I'd fallen off the tea wagon a few weeks ago. Not feeling like any UTI. I had 1+ protein yesterday though, so they're running labs just to check. It's been consistently showing trace amounts every appointment until now. Maybe, it's just cause our uteruses are experienced! Getting in a little extra practice. This pregnancy is definitely NOT like my others.

My dh is AB+, so we'll still test the babe after the birth (cord blood) and go from there. If he's +, a shot it is.

I hope the protein in your urine is just a fluke. This pregnancy is not like my others either. All my symptoms have been very noticeable compared to the other 2. And the movement seems to be all over the place, which has made a few people ask if I was sure it wasn't twins I had an u/s at 12weeks so I know it can't be. I think it must just be that symptoms are more extreme with each pregnancy. Like fatigue, I just can't keep up with my kids right now. I used to be able to cope in my other pregnancies, but this has knocked me down and stomped on me! I'm really hoping my uterus doesn't want to start working out a bunch now, as in my last pregnancy I was crampy all the 2nd and 3rd trimesters and started having pre-labor symptoms at 35 weeks. He was born at almost 42 weeks! I don't think I could handle doing that again!

Yep, it tones your uterus and also has easily absorbable vitamins and minerals. Good stuff for you! Just don't overdo it if it gives you BH contractions.

BH CONTRACTIONS

Braxton Hicks contractions, practice ones. Not full on labor.

Okie dokie! I went to the health food store (4 buses and 3 hours later, but i did some errands over there, too) and got myself some loose RRL and also some instant stuff for lazy days. I guess i should start out slow? Maybe one cup a day to see how i handle it?

Do you steep it a long time or not? I dont' like my tea to have that "burned" taste that regular tea can have...so i pour it right away.

I think for me it will be easiest to use a french press.
Do you ladies like it hot or cold? I know for labor i should drink it hot as possible when contractions start officially.

Thanks for the encouragment!

We need to keep that Kegal thread up too!

On the RRL tribe in pregnancy forum, a mom read though all of the thread and summarized some brewing findings on the recent last page (56)

I brew up a pot a day (about 5 cups, I think). I use a tea infuser - one of those little mesh round thingies and put the loose tea in there. I let it seep about 20 minutes or longer if I forget!

The first few cups of the day are hot and the rest is lukewarm or cold depending upon when I drink it.
