Is there a website, or thread on here, that has a list of good fabrics for the three parts of dipes? (I am thinking of 1. against babes skin 2. filling and all that good junk 3.cover) If not is there a way to like.... make one? Like with the very first post the list(s)?

Actually, the second post at the very top of this list is a "sticky" that has links to all the diaper-sewing tutorials I know as well as all the free patterns I currently know of on the web

Let me snag a few links to the ones I recommend you start with

ETA: here you go

http://www.diapersewing.com/ --A very good place to start
http://www.geocities.com/mytafadhali...gTutorials.htm --Also a good start

http://sewyourown.blogspot.com/2007/...sew-along.html --KCK also has everything-you-need kits
http://www.diaperkit.com --also has everything-you-need kits

http://baroquestar.livejournal.com/176873.html --A comparison of 3 of the most popular free nappy (diaper) patterns

The three patterns from above are here:
http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/diy.php
http://www.geocities.com/rew4birth/Diapers.html
http://www.ottobredesign.com/en/print/pdf/vaippa_en.pdf

This is also a nice pattern for a side-snapping cover:

Hope this helps!

Fabric choice is such a personal decision, but here's what I know...

Outers
Waterproof (AIO/Pocket): PUL, Windpro or heavy-weight fleece
Non-Waterproof (Fitteds): Knit, Woven, Sherpa, Hemp, Bamboo, Corduroy, pretty much anything you want.

Inners
Wicking/Stay-Dry: Microfleece, Suedecloth, Minkee... There's athletic wicking fabrics too but I'm not familiar with them.
Non-Wicking/Stay-Dry: Sherpa, Hemp/Cotton/Bamboo Velour, Fleece, French Terry, Jersey

Absorbency
Microfiber, Bamboo/Hemp/Cotton fleece or french terry (jersey can be used but is really thin so you need a LOT of layers)

I know there are more, but that's all my brain can come up with right now.

HTH!
