Pretty needles and hooks... although impractical

I'm not sure glass and kids go together, at least not in my house with tile floors and young uns... but those sure are pretty!

I just love all things glass and pretty colors... We made some swizzle sticks once in an art class and I LOVED it.

I have heard that glass hooks are quite worth the money if you crochet a lot. There is no snagging of the yarn and very little friction so it reduces the stress on your hands. That being said. I have terazzo floors and would be afraid an 80 dollar hook would get broken!!!! Not to mention I don't like the shape of the hook. (I'm picky! LOL)

I have a wooden Greydog hook (check out ebay) that I paid 25 dollars for and I love it. I have a few other wood hooks that I got from Etsy but they snag horribly.
