Moving to FL: What are the homebirth laws/regs?

I am not a trained birth professional, but would like to have a home birth in FL. I am familiar with my current states laws, but have no idea about FL. Can any of you help me understand what the laws/regs are in FL? Specifically, we will be in Okaloosa County when the birth occurs if that helps at all.

Thanks!

Homebirth is completely legal in Florida. Midwives have to use a risk score, and if you are more than 3, you need a OB consult. I need one since a VBAC is considered a 3 risk score. IF you're having a healthy pregnancy then most likely you wont need to consult an OB.

Also, insurances have to cover midwives, including state insurance (like medicaid).

I live in FL and just wanted to add that while it is legal to have a homebirth they CANNOT attend breech or twin births that part is ILLEGAL.
