When did you first take your LO to the dentist?

How old was your LO when they had their first visit to the dentist? How many teeth did they have? What did the dentist do?

My DS is 13 months, and has 10 teeth, but they are coming in out of order. I am somewhat concerned, and we also got a reminder in the mail from Medicaid for his first dental checkup. Thanks!

My son didn't go until he was 3, and it was fine.

Now with my daughter, we waited until she was 3 and it was a nightmare because of her behavior. She would have been better off if we'd started her at 13 months, so she'd have about 4 years to get used to it. She's very fussy about who touches her.

At that very young toddler age, the hygienists and dentists just count teeth and get your child used to the idea of going to the dentist.
