question about perineal tears...

After giving birth to my son, I suffered from many tears, including 2nd degree tears. At 3 months postpartum, I had a bowel movement that was abnormally painful, followed by blood in the toilet. I called my midwife and she said that I had probably torn a fissure open. I didn't realize that you could actually tear inside the rectum (probably silly of me to assume so)
It's been 2 months and I am still having problems: painful bowel movements, blood, etc. I don't know how much longer I can take this...I start to get anxiety now when I have to *go*.
Has anyone ever dealt with this? I'll take all advice!!!!

did anyone look at what you have going on? could be hemorrhoids
my other thoughts are- are you staying hydrated enough? drinking enough fluids while breastfeeding is important you may still be producing enough milk but not getting enough fluid for yourself-
also what foods are you eating, are you eating anything you are allergic to that may be changing your bowel function?
how about eating some more fruits, berries, and veggies-- and taking some vitamin C with bioflavinoids ,
RDA of magnesium may help- take it as an alone supplement and see if this helps out
other things to consider would be some herbal sits baths for healing and possibly some salve or some saint John'swort oil topically for healing or some calendula salve for healing/anti inflammatory effects-

thank you for your input! i will try the calendula salve, and i have been using hemmorrhoidal cream per advice from my midwife. i am staying hydrated, and for the random day that i don't get enough water, it really effects me later. and i will try the more berries, etc...also, what does the RDA of magnesium do?
thank you SO much!
